Like I thought this blog is taking up my regular journal, but the journal was getting tiresome anyway. I could wake up in a bad mood and write myself into a worse mood sometimes.
I was thinking about putting substitute teaching tips down.I don't know if many people start out being subs' it's not the greatest job sometimes. When I ran into a retired teacher yesterday and he was saying how different subbing is, it occurred to me I might be able to pass on tips to even real teachers. I wonder about that if they would listen to me.
Here's tip number one: You have about one or two minutes at the beginning of a class to get control. If you lose it the whole day will go bad. That's why I start out strict and loosen up as the day or the hour goes on. DON"T BELIEVE ANYTHING they tell you. At least one girl will want to run back to her locker, and three will want a bathroom break right away.Oh and they will all want to go together. I go by exactly what the teacher left for instructions If they whine and say they never do that, just show them what the teacher wrote down. Tomorrow "choose your battles"
