Entry for January 3, 2009
Well we enter the new year warm and fed, with friends near and far, and A great positive feeling about the year ahead. I just can't let the gloomy news affect my outlook on my business. My business , in fact, has never been better. And that is counting 26 years now of making and selling our own work. Volume might have been higher in the" production years," but the way we work now is balanced, and consistent, and I believe we are one step closer to being sustainable here. That was our goal when we took the leap in 2003 to Revive Morris Pottery and do our own work exclusively. It's taken a lot longer than I envisioned.
This year we are planning to enter our regular shows, and we are far more organized for Sticks and Stones at this point than we ever have been before. I have an exciting music line up this year and hope the details are finalized by late January or early February. We also plan a firing early in February.
