Well I've been away awhile...It is unbelievable how much information is out there, and I have been lurking in some groups lately, mainly in my area of art and collectibles.  There is sooo much to learn.  I have gotten some great ideas from some fellow artists out there, and i will share some of the sites I found...after I research a little.  What is overwhelming for me is the time it all takes. I really need to MAKE stuff, and THAT takes time.  And my true love clay sits by the wayside. I am decorating pottery, but my sculptures take extended periods of time, and i don't have that right now.

It isn't easy making a living on what you create. It takes a lot of stubborn will ,and determination.  I don't know statistically how many people make their living doing their own artwork, I'm sure there are some, but most people I know have a partner that makes money elswhere.  Or if they don't have a partner , they live a very frugal existence. We do both I guess. I am happy that my part time job, one of them, is at a cafe where the hours go by fast, and there are always nice people to talk to.  My other job here is even more pleasant , done in the comfort of my own living room. Today I have violin lessons spread throughout the day, with some brief hours to work on projects, take care of the livestock and pets, pay bills.  Toward the end of the week, I usually get what I call my "real" day off and I try to get artwork done then too. This Thursday I am delivering an order that has been long anticipated. And maybe deliver a tri colored rex rabbit along the way that will eventually be going to a breeder in Calgary Alberta.

With spring in the air it will be a nice little drive, and the pottery delivery is going to a lady that works at a big car lot, and they are going to detail my car while I transact my deal.

My life is very rich because I AM an artist. I was born that way.  I was also born left handed, and hyperactive. But back then they didn't drug kids and my artistic tendencies kinda got me through the system.

Any way this is spring EQUINOX!!!!!!!! The long winter is coming to an end. It won't be long before the water is running again. The spring musical is next week I'm in the pit band.  Well I'm off to my first round of fiddle lessons.  Life IS art. D
