That is a giant Puffball Mushroom that my daughter is holding!  One of my favorite customers brought it in today because I told him we ate them.  Well that is breakfast lunch AND dinner!!!  Puff balls are easy to identify, and they are very tasty sauteed in butter with a little salt and pepper.  This is really the biggest one I have ever seen.

We are getting ready for the Sticks and Stones Festival to be held September 28 ,29, and 30.   There are a lot of new things to do there this year!  For one thing , Latana is firing her Raku kiln continuously throughout the weekend.   She has made over 200 bisque pots for our visitors to decorate  and fire.   there will be wheel throwing , and slip trailing demos.   Morris  Pottery will feature the pottery students in demos and with their own finished work.  We will also have a load of pots fresh from the Sept 22 firing.

A big favorite has been the hands on ART TABLE where young and old are invited to create projects of their own.

Our featured musical artist this year is Jonathan Delehanty there's more on my website about him and some links to more info

There will again be poetry readings during Saturday afternoon

The food is going to be great again this year.  There will be new T shirts available.

The Labrynth will be a returning feature, and we will light it with candles Saturday night.

We spend a good deal of time throughout the year planning and creating this event.  One of our goals is to keep it  new and exciting every year.  Sticks and Stones has grown to be a real event, growing from a studio tour, to a celebration of the creative nature in all of us!  I hope to see you there!
